Sardinia, 1955.

After performing a concert in a sleepy Sardinian port town, a celebrated string quintet intends to spend a few days off before continuing its European tour.

While there, they are befriended by a group of wealthy socialites and a mysterious count.

But beneath the glamorous surface lies a world of jealousy, resentment, and carefully guarded secrets.

So when one of the quintet is found murdered on a lonely street, the Carabinieri believe the killing was a botched robbery.
